Heather Payne-Vice Chair of Governors Chair of Finance Committee and Community Governor

I started my teaching career in 1983, moved to Lincolnshire in 1992 and took up residence in Nettleham in 1993.  My son attended the Infants’ School and then the Junior School so I jumped at the chance to be a community governor. Prior to retiring in 2021, I was a secondary school Headteacher and the CEO of a local, community-based multi academy trust (MAT). The trust has both  primary and secondary schools in it. I was also a National Leader of Education which gave me the opportunity to work with a range of schools across Lincolnshire on school improvement projects. I remain passionate about education and to ensuring that children remain central to our work as governors; each decision made should have their best interests at its heart.
