Attendance
In line with the Government policy, we discuss children's attendance in a termly meeting with the Local Authority. In partnership with them, we carefully track children who are at risk of having, or who currently have persistent absence or servere absence.
We understand many children have very serious and unavoidable reasons for their absences. All of this information is stored and carefully considered when looking at any attendance concerns. Illness, operations and serious personal circumstances cannot be avoided and will obviously impact on children's attendance.
We send out individual, separate monitoring letters, set monitoring periods and hols attendance meetings with families for those children we are most concerned about.
