Year 1 Phonics Screen Attainment
The phonic knowledge of all children is assessed at the end of Year 1. Since 2012 the pass mark of this assessment has remained static at 32 real and pseudo words read correctly from a selection of 40.

Attendance
All children are expected to attend school regularly to allow them to access the curriculum fully and make the best progress possible from their starting points. The DFE expects that all children attend school at least 90% of the time and attendance below this level is deemed as 'persistent Absence' and will harm children's chances of achieving well during their time in school.
