Chris Higham - Chair of Governors, Community Governor

I spent 39 years as a teacher of physics/science with the last 19 being at William Farr. I am now a Governor at all three of our local Schools, Nettleham Infants, Nettleham Junior and William Farr. I have lived in Nettleham since since the year 2000 and consider us to be extremely fortunate to have such a vibrant and enthusiastic community. Our schools share these characteristics and I am proud to be involved in ensuring that they continue to serve our children and families so well in the future. I have two children who benefited from their time at William Farr as did my son-in law who also spent time in the Nettleham Primary Schools. In addition to my School activities I serve as a lay minister in a local church.

I always said that I would have completed my bucket list if I ever saw my football team, Hull City play at Wembley, but did not expect this to happen. In the event I saw them play there 4 times in 10 years (3 wins, 1 late defeat in the FA Cup final)
